Crawfish and Beer in New Orleans!
Local breweries are now making it easier than ever to plan your crawfish fix.
With boils popping up every week in every direction, it’s nice to know the exact dates and times you can satisfy your crawfish needs. Let’s kick it off at Urban South.
Urban South hosts a boil every Thursday at four, Friday at three and Sunday at 12. Evan Troxell serves as not only the Urban South Taproom Manger, but he also owns his own crawfish business Gulf Coast Crawfish.
Arguably, some of the finest tasting buds in all of New Orleans.
Evan also routinely cooks for our Brew Bus Boil experience, which he serves up a sack of crawfish and veggies to a group hosted by a Nola Brew Bus tour guide.
Our bachelor parties from all across the country love this experience.
Last year, every Thursday evening became a crawfish and beer staple for uptown residents. So this year Urban South stepped it up a notch.
Our daily tours make a stop at Urban South, so book with us on Thursday and enjoy some crawdads to go with your beer pairing .
Next on our list is Second Line Brewing. Currently the only brewery in Mid-City Neighborhood and a local’s favorite. Aptly named for the most popular post-wedding event in New Orleans, Alligator Mike is boiling up the bugs every Friday starting at five until they run out.
We recommend drinking the Saison Named Desire. It pairs perfect with the crawfish.
NOLA Brewing, next up on the list. Every Friday at 2 pm, New Orleans longest standing brewery made it’s name by giving away lots of free beer and tours every Friday.
Well the free beers to a rolls for an hour every week. But our friends over at McClure’s Barbecue also do one hell of a boil at the same time. Hard to say no to free beer, free tour and a few bucks for some delicious crawfish.
Neil and his team also boil every Friday at Avenue Pub during Lent from 5 to 8.
Port Orleans Brewing in the heart of Uptown near Tipitina’s has been brewing beer in the Big Easy now since June 2017. Their multi-million dollar taproom and restaurant has turned into a place locals love to walk to.
Port Orleans is popular with the Big Easy light beer drinkers, which means they have some really good choices to pair with crawfish. We recommend the strawberry Riverfront Lager or the Delta Sun Satsuma Lager.
NOLA Crawfish King’ll be boiling up every Sunday starting at 2 pm.
NOLA Crawfish King also serves up buds in the funky brewery Parleaux Beer Lab in the funkiest neighborhood, The Bywater.
Every Friday at 2 come join the fun. It’s springtime and that means outdoor sun. Parleaux’s courtyard is the largest of any New Orleans brewery, so go check it out.
Last and certainly not least is New Orleans’ newest brewery, Miel Brewing. Miel has crawfish every Saturday at 2 pm and every Monday at 5 pm as well.
